How do I organize my backlog?

To make it easier to manage your backlog, you can organize it into backlog lists. For example, you could have a backlog list per feature category, such as user interface, business logic, administration, and bugs:

Using backlog lists to organize your backlog

To add a backlog list, click the small plus icon in the upper right corner of your backlog, in the Backlog tab:

Or, click "Edit this backlog" at the bottom of the Backlog tab and then click "Add a backlog list"

You can also have multiple backlogs in the same project, each with its own backlog lists. For example, you could have a backlog per subproject, application module, or client:

Selecting which backlog to show

To add a backlog, click "Edit this backlog" at the bottom of the Backlog tab, and then click "Or, add another backlog". If your project already has multiple backlogs, instead click "Manage backlogs" at the bottom of the Backlog tab.

Adding a backlog

You can set a color on a backlog list or backlog, to make it easy to see which backlog list or backlog a backlog item belongs to. The color will be shown on all backlog items in the backlog list or backlog, except for backlog items that have their own individual color:
